3d challenge 091 - USS UTAH BB-31

This challenge has been the hardest yet. Well considering that I have only had four entries that is not saying much. The main reason this challenge was difficult was that we could not come up with just any concept design, the battleship had to be real. So I modeled the Utah using black and white pictures. which makes the model nowhere near close to accurate, but it does somewhat resemble it. Just a little history on the USS Utah bb-31 first set sail in a trial run in 1911. since that test run there have been 3 ships that have sailed under the Utah name. the last being in Pearl Harbor and now rest as a memorial which only active military men can view. The Utah name was retired after the attack. During the time that the Utah was active it had earned 1 battle star for the U.S.

3d challenge #090 - UFO

The latest challenge was to model a UFO using google sketchup. The best was for me to explain my model is that I started with a circle and just played around with the different tools and features available in sketchup and this is how it turned out.

3d challenge #089 - Rifle

This weeks challenge was to design a rifle, the rifle could be anything from what was used in the civil war to modern day rifles. You also could create your own. I choose to create my own concept rifle. This sniper rifle is designed to shoot a 30.06 bullet. The rifle it-self is semi-automatic and has a double stacked clip holding 18 bullets. the gun is also equipped with a laser sight, a high powered scope, silencer, and recoil action in the butt of the gun.

3d challenge #088 - Skyscraper

This weeks challenge was a skyscraper. Four peaks tower is a conceptual skyscraper and was named after a local mountain range. The tower it self is 369 meters tall (approx 1200') and has four different peaks. It also features a helicopter pad and observation deck on 2 of the towers. This particular model took about 4.5 hours to complete.
