Crutiss P-40N Warhawk

Modeled for this weeks Google Sketchup Challenge. The P-40N Warhawk was m design using google schetchup tools and materials. There is not a single material that was imported in to add texture, it is 100% google sketchp original. The P-40N Warhawk was the US standard fighter plane during WWII. Thought the plane had did not match up in speed and maneuvering and overall performance against the German ME-109 or the Japanese A6M-Zero, The P-40 did offer quite the competition. The reinforced construction and heavy armor made this plane quite a worthy adversary. the American Volunteer Group (A.V.G.) — better known as “The Flying Tigers” — used their P-40s to win victories over nearly 300 Japanese planes from June 1941 to July 1942, while losing only 12 of their own in aerial combat.
